Color corrected

I corrected the color in photoshop to see what my renders need to look like. I think it needs some blue in the lights.

Taking a break from Modeling

I took a break from modeling this guy for a week and started the texturing phase. I still need to fix up the seams and redo the head texture. While texturing, I noticed a lot of proportional problems with the model. I'll go back next week and finalize the texturing and modeling phases.

Proposal

Hi. Welcome to my final project blog. I will make weekly update on this project. My final project is trying to see if 3D software could be a medium for modern sculpting. Then I will try to create a digital museum so people can walk around and view my work art gallery. In other words, I would like to create an interactive online gallery.

People have always created fantastic work that are based on what they think looks “cool”. Most of the works shown online are either: monsters, superhero, soldiers, girls with large chest, and etc. These works show great technical and artistic skills but it lacks meaning to the work.

Technology and fine arts haven’t gel yet. Traditional artists are still ignoring the growing power of technology. Many famous modern sculptures are still using other medium than a computer. Due to the growing powers of computer hardware, and software, there isn’t any limitation to anartist’s creativity. Software’s such as Zbrush and Mudbox have open a fold gate of creativity for digital artist. Yet most technical artists are still creating “fanboy” artworks.
